I've figured it out: I've got a drinking problem. No, it's not alcohol. It's whatever is close to me when I am stressed. That's why I drank so much coke when I was in school. I've been trying to get away from coke and not drink too much coffee. My new weapon of choice: water. This morning in like a 3 hour span I drank a coffee and over 2 (or 2.5?) L of water. I'm swimming. I just have to make sure that wherever I sit when I am working hard I am closer to water than I am to coke. ;-)
I'm sorry if I was a bad coke influence ... I was your pusher sometimes. ;)
ReplyDeleteI hardly drink coke anymore. One cup of coffee a day, most days.
Didn't you hear? too much water can be bad for you. If you drink too much, you can get hyponatremia (http://www.emediawire.com/releases/2005/4/emw229472.htm). Which is basically a lack of sodium in your blood. I really don't think that you're in danger, but if you drink enough water, it could be a problem. It mostly happens with runners, I think because the water dilute their blood, and sodium and other electrolytes are an important factor in muscle activity. Anyway, Just thought I'd mention that.
ReplyDeleteRunners/athletes lose a lot of sodium through sweat.
