Audit? Me? Huh?

This confirms it. I don't think that even the government believes how much we are paying U of O for school. Today Karen told me that she had gotten a letter from CCRA "requesting" that she send in her T2202A. Today, I get the same letter. Humm... I think that maybe they are going in reverse (alphibetical) order. Has anyone else gotten this?

One more time...

Ah, another update. And another time that I should have been eating dinner at home, but I am not. I am averaging about one day a week, which is pretty funny / expensive considering that I live at home. Next time I am shopping I think that I am going to pick up a whole bunch of instant noodle for myself when at work.

It seems that Audioman is now up to 277 "A" tests (always green). Yay for that! Now I just have to help out some more. *sigh* Gotta get my butt into gear.

I am going to try and do a 10 km run at the end of the Month (August). I am trying to convince Laura to come with me, but that might take some work, but I think that we are almost there. hee hee... it'll be good. And we get a "free" t-shirt. Well, after we pay the 25$ enterence fee. Oh-oh, Karen is now here at SITE, so I should get going. More updates to come (hopefully)

Yay Mozilla!

Well, I was going to talk about how happy I was with Mozilla, but now as I try and write this blog, I am not as happy. :-( Peter had pointed out to me the google toolbar for Mozilla. Yay! I downloaded some themes for mozilla, and everything is great. I really like the tabbed browsing and pop up supression. There seem to be some things that it can't do though. I am using 1.3 (1.4 has failed to install for some reason). And when editing this blog, some of the buttons and short cuts appear in IE, but not Mozilla. I don't know why yet.

This next month I will be working on AudioMan a lot more. I am pretty far behind with it now. A lot farther than I expected to be. *sigh* No one to blame but myself. I was planning to work on it at the end of the month a lot, but now my work contract has been extended, so that plan is out the window. I'll have to use my time wisely, since I am going away at least one weekend in August.

One of the other things that I want to try and do is fix my old page. Tripod has figured out my work around to get around their ads. I am going to try and make a perl script and see if they just add an ad to the bottom of the output. We'll see what happens, but I think that it's days are numbered.

I think that I should get my butt in gear now... so many things to do. *sigh*

Far too long

It has been far too long since I have last done an update. And for some reason the text from my entry is not showing up. I really do not know why. But I should have been more on top of things. Ah well.

They have extended my contract here for an extra week so that I can help with a "transition period" with the new co-op. What it really means is that I am going to be teaching someone else how to do this job. I just hope that they are not better at it than I am. Who knows. Maybe a monkey can do what I do, but I can't. :-(

I just got back from Stratford this weekend. We saw Gigi and The King and I. Both were wonderful, but I liked the King and I better. I would love to go back next year. It was really great. It was a LONG drive though... I put like 1500 km on my car this weekend. Time for an oil change. *sigh* But having said all that, I still think that the King was worth the drive. I would have liked to stay a bit longer though. Maybe closer to the town and see more shows.

The weekend before that I went to the cottage with Laura. It was really nice. A bunch of my family was up there. The weather wasn't the best, and I didn't get Laura out on the lake tubbing (didn't have a fast enough boat to pull anyone) or boarding (she thought that it looked scarry, but I think that we could get her out next time). Needless to say, I am looking forward to next weekend where I won't be driving much. I think that it will be a "stay at home" kind of thing.

I have a group meeting tonight. Unfortunally, I have not really done much for the last month at all. And I don't know where all the time has gone. I am going to have "book" time to work on it on the weekend mornings. I don't find myself too effective after I get home from work. I can hardly write emails (which I am FAR behind). I just don't know where the summer has gone. How is it that there is only 1 month left? What the hell happened to the other 3? Damn. Ah well. I should get back to work. I just hope that this posts fine.

I have a blog?

Oie. It has been far too long since my last update. Sort of pathetic really. Ah well.

So, what have I been up to lately? Well, spending lots of time with Laura for one, which is a good thing. ;-) I went to see Great Big Sea with Peter and a bunch of other people. Pete ended up taking a bunch of pics if anyone wants to check them out. GBS, as always, was great. They really know how to put on a good show. That was on Wednesday.

Saturday: I went to Hope. It was really cool. Laura and Vanessa were going as "security" (which I still find really funny), and I was just tagging along. Because it was so shitty and rainy, not all the volunteers showed up. Since I was there, and sort of wanted to have the same access as Laura, I asked if they wanted me to help and they handed me a shirt. ;-) I really like working as a volunteer. I think that I will try and do that next year too. Maybe at Blues fest too. I heard that if you work six 3 hour shifts they give you a pass for the whole thing. And it's not like when you are "working", you can't hear everything (and even have a better seat / view than everyone else!). Maybe next year I will just get a team together for Hope? Anyone interested? We could do a seggy team. Team SEG, oh ya!

Sunday: It was my sister's sixth family b-day party. Word from the wise: when it is a two hour party, don't show up an hour late. Espically if you are bring the cake and the ballons. People are just not happy. Ah well. Other than that, I think that it went well. Laura got to meet most of my family in the Ottawa area, and she survied. ;-) I was a little nervous about her getting freaked out and running away screaming. I was glad when she was cracking jokes and getting people laughing.

I think that's enough update for now. I think that I should go get some drugs now... my head is killing me.

Amélie in the house

I have finally gotten to write more here. Wow. This last week has been really nuts. My sleep schedule has been changing +-6 hours all week, and it has been really harsh. I blame it on Canada Day. That and me being really dumb and getting up at 6 am then staying out till 5 when I am exhausted to start with. Who'da thunk?

I finally got a copy of Amélie. I loved this movie. The story was really cute, and it was done very well. Now all that I have to do is get around to watching it again. That and my Harry Potter which I have really not touched in over a week.

There are several things that I wanted to complain / comment on, including the bus system here and some places downtown, but I don't think that anyone wants to hear about that... yet. ;-)

One very amusing thing that I read on Ryan's blog was some fun with google, which has since been mentioned on Peter and Forward's sites. Ah, inter-blog linkage. Gotta love it.
