Kibbee isn't the only one getting ready for Christmas. Yesterday Laura and I went out and got a tree, ornaments, and some LED tree lights. LED lights are more expensive, but they last longer and they take way less power. But I mostly got them because I thought that it would be cool. ;-P
So now we've just to figure out where to put the tree and start putting things up. I've got to get all my Christmas stuff from my folks place. We have a tradition where my parents (and grandparents on my mom's side) gave each one of use a new ornament every year, so that when we do move out, we've got lots of things to go on the tree.
My next thing to get now is a camera so I can take pictures of everything... I've been talking about it before, but now is probably the time to actually do something about it. That and I found a Best Buy and Crappy Tire really close to our place, so now I'll be going there instead of the "long" trek to South Keys.
Yay! Christmas is coming!!! :-D
I guess you're talking about the Canadian Tire on Coventry ... I agree -- it is kind of hiding.

ReplyDeleteYa, that's the one. ;-) It's not super big or new, but it's good enough. The only reason why I know it's there was 'cause I went East on the Queensway and could see if from the highway. ;-)

ReplyDeleteI'm staying in Ottawa this year, so this is the first year in my life that i won't be waking up on Christmas with my family. It feels all weird. Just curious how you're doing it.
I had not even thought of sleeping over at my folks place... We'll be going sometime that day I bet though. I had not really thought that far ahead.
ReplyDeleteI think that I would rather sleep in my own bed since my folks have ripped out my room and are in the middle of converting it into a "sewing room".
btw, for a 6.5 foot tree, 140 lights are not enough. We got up about 1/2 way before we ran out. I like lots of lights... :-P
I'm going to Val's mom's place for christmas. It will be my first time not either being at my moms or dads place for Christmas. But seeing as how i don't have much time to take off around christmas, It's the best option i have.
