It's finally snowing! It's really wet snow and I don't have my winter boots yet, but ah well. I guess this might be a good reason to change my tires at my folks place this weekend. I'll probably take off my roof racks too since I don't think that I'll be doing any more kayaking this year... ah well.
I got hit in the eye with a giant snowflake on the way to work today ... I may have to file for disability...
ReplyDeleteFunny, the same thing happened to me... and most of my lab. We felt the best way to deal with this (the missing of an eye and the consequent difficulty we had running chemistry reactions) was to go outside and chuck snowballs at each other - you know, to even out the damage :)
ReplyDeleteYay snow :)
It must have been a fun snowball fight without depth perception!
ReplyDelete...ok, I'll stop now. LOL
Yeah. I'm happy that winter is here too. Although for me, winter usually means putting the roof rack on the car. Something to strap the skis to. Of course I'm talking about my non-existent car, but that's not the point. And Jim, aren't you close enough to the river now that you could just carry the kayak and save the environment?
ReplyDeleteYa, I am really close to the river, but I can't go kayaking in ice (I'm not that kind of guy) and I don't have anywhere to store my boat. I'd love to keep it on my balcony, but it's 9 floors up which is a little too high to pull up a 16' boat.
