Hard to get back into a routine

I planned yesterday to go running today at lunch. I didn't bring anything into the office and just sat on my ass talking at lunch. *sigh* I find it very hard to change my routine in any way sometimes.

As I see people run by outside my heart just drops. I know that I can do it. I know that I should. I just have not. I know that I'd feel much better if I did too... Sometimes I just want to kick myself in my ass, but my leg doesn't really bend that way.

  1. You run outside in this weather? Damn, not only is it FREEZING but what if you slip on some ice? The chance of injury worries me.
I run on the treadmill at my apartment in the winter, but I miss being outside...

  2. I was running on the canal last winter / EARLY spring and it was fine. You just have to dress warmly and the roads around downtown are cleared well.
We have *a* treadmill in our apartment building too but the room smells funny... not some place I want to spend hours and hours in...

  3. I used to do really hard running during winter for basketball. Nothing like shocking the lungs with blasts of cold. I find it improves my warm air running.

Buy some febreeze on your expense and spray that room.

  5. I don't think that I could get enough febreeze for that room... I biked in that room the other day for 30 minutes and it wasn't *too* bad...
