At the bottom of the page it links to who did it. So, out of the same curiosity that makes people watch an accident on the highway, I followed the link. It brought me to a flash heavy page (all blocked with flashblock), I enabled them to see... nothing. It was all (mostly) just blank. I couldn't figure it out, it's just flash right???
Then I scrolled down to the bottom of the page to see:

I don't know if I'm amused or ticked off. I just think that it's pretty funny that someone is marketing themselves in a way that states at the bottom that the product will only work for somewhere between 55 and 90-ish% of the market. Please, please if anyone is reading this who feels that they are a "web developer", try out your site in the top 2 browsers... hopefully in more then one OS, but it's not like anyone uses an OS other than WinXP. :-P
A "web 1.0" website. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a web developer, and where I work, we test all our stuff on IE, Firefox, and Safari. The worst part is testing on Safari because you have to log onto the Mac (we use VNC) in order to test that the stuff works on the Safari. I wish there was a way to run Safari on windows. I think you'd see a lot more sites supporting it if the web developers didn't have to buy new computers just for testing on a single low percentage web browser.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I don't know how web developers get by without testing on Firefox. The web developer tool bar makes developing in Firefox a breeze. Developing for IE is such a pain. I use Firefox first, and then test later on IE and Safari.
Oh, and if you're looking for a wedding cake, I can hook you up with my cake lady. Her cakes taste really good, and she has amazing prices. Only problem is she's located out of the city. I'm not sure how that would affect delivery.
