13 minute commute

I finally made the big move, and everything went well. Nothing got too beat up, the different families got along fine (it was their first meeting), and it went quickly. Now there is just more setup / unpacking to do. Tonight we get the highspeed net connection, and I think that my folks will be coming over to help run some wire.

And do you know how long it took me to get in with a slow-ass bus driver? 13 minutes from door to door. In traffic. Nice. :-D

    It took me an hour to get home today, and I left early!! (lucky you man!)

    It takes me about half an hour to commute. Not too bad considering the distance. I really like the fact that it gives me time to read, which I wouldn't really feel like doing on a shorter bus ride.

    That's pretty harsh man... I feel your pain. When I was at my parents place, the BEST time that I could do was 45 minutes. If I had to ever take the 97 it was usually 75 minutes, and in bad weather it would be easily 2 hours.
    That's why I am so happy to be living close to where I work / play / socialize.
