As always, I have been busy that last while. It's been just over a week since we've been in the new place, and we still have a bunch of unpacking to do. I think that we are getting things into the right place, but there is a lot of little things that we need to get done. The whole process has been more work than I thought it would be, but it's great.
Still some issues like me loosing my DNS (I suspect) server names. Just little things that I'll fix over time. ;-)
Good to hear you're still alive. :D
ReplyDeleteThat's always the case with moving ... you don't realise you've forgotten something until you need it: can opener, colander, salt. Silly little things.
What's the DNS problem?
PS> losing ;)
I set my computer for DHCP and getting everything dynamically. I can't remember, but I thought that the router was supposed to keep DNS info. I couldn't resolve any names the other day (which is why I think that it's a DNS problem).
ReplyDeleteAre you supposed to put the DNS servers on the router, or on each box? And either way, does anyone know what the DNS servers for Rogers broadband would be?
The router is probably getting Roger's settings via DHCP and then giving them to your computer(s) via DHCP too. That's how my Linksys works.
