Now on Leopard

I've just upgraded to leopard on my macbook. It was far, far smoother than I thought it would go. The part that took the longest time was backing up all my data (which makes me just realize how bad I am at making backups). It was pretty much insert disk, click next a couple of time (selecting "archive and install") and then it rebooted. All my files are where I left them, even my desktop picture is the same. That's crazy smooth.

  1. My brother was very happy with his Mac when he got it a couple years back. He said it was (and is) the most hassle free computer he's ever had. He just started it up, entered his name, and that's it. Nothing needed to be installed, nothing needed to be uninstalled (trialware).

  2. Ya, it's been a really good experience. I can't think of any reason why I'd switch back to windows now.
The only "issue" that I've had is some software like tax software seems to be windows only. I guess that means Laura will have to do taxes this year. ;-)

  3. Personally I used ufile last year. They have an online web app to do your taxes with. And they don't you any crazy activeX stuff. So it works with Linux and Mac.
