AhhGGG!

Sometimes I just so pissed off I could just scream. Ahhggg!! I know that most of my work right now isn't challenging at all. I know that people are stupid. *sigh* I just get frustrated anyways. I have a ticket now (and I get all the bitch ticket's 'cause I am "UI" which means text changes) and the complaint is that in a page, the address pointing to their site is something like http://www.someurl.org and they want the www removed because it is "wrong" and they have gotten a customer complaint! Yes, I can understand how you would want to take something that is actually correct and make it not as correct. Grrr.... I just don't like those sort of things at the end of the day. Stupid freaking shit. I don't mind the annoying shit when it's just static html and I can go through the whole heavy process in 15 minutes, but not for other things like java apps or this old system (that we don't support anymore) but we still support. Go figure.

  1. Maybe it's a site like slashdot that doesn't require, or doesn't like the www at the beginning.... I'm not sure why, but if you type in http://www.slashdot.org, it always changes to http://slashdot.org. Maybe the WWW really isn't really supposed to be ther...

  2. This isn't the location that the link points to, but the text in the actual link itself. It is what the user sees. It is really, really stupid. If they are concerned about something like that, why do they still want the http:// in there? Grrr...

  3. Kibbie: it's probably an HTTP redirect from http://www.slashdot.org to http://slashdot.org.
