Censorship

Do I censor this blog? Yes. I'll delete any comment that I think is spam. I'll even get rid of any post that I really don't feel is appropriate, but I've only had to do that once or twice.

Just so we're all on the same page. ;-)

  1. What's this about? :)

  2. Is taking down spam really a form of censorship? I mean, if someone paints graffiti on the front of your house and you remove it, are you censoring them?

  3. Ryan: someone added a comment to a post I had done about a kids show (Peep and the Big Wide World) that was actually relivant to the post. What bothered me is that they used more swear words than I have ever seen in a post on the net. EVER. They were like "come on mother******'s! Email me if you don't like what I'm saying!" (actually the ratio of swear words to non-swear words was like 1:4). I just don't want that crap on this blog...
Kibbee: Taking down graffiti might be seen as censorship if you consider it a form of art. It's depends on your point of view. ;-)

  4. And I consider smashing windows to be an art form too. The point is, if you want to paint (grafitti or otherwise) or smash windows, then paint on your own property, or smash your own windows. I don't care if you're painting the mona lisa. I didn't ask for my house to be painted on. If people want to post thousands of links about where to buy prescription medications, then, they can do it on their own website.

  5. Funny thing. The guy posted again pissed off that I deleted his comment. Ah well.
