Adding more enteries

I changed how many entries are displayed now on the main page. I was tired of my stuff almost going blank if I didn't really post for a week. I have been finding it really hard to write as much as I want to. I don't really want to write at work, and I don't really have the time. I am lucky if I check my friends blogs once a day. And when I get home a lot of the time I don't feel like going on the computer, or if I do, I don't go for long. And for the weekends, I'm hardly ever at home at all, so that's pretty much out of the question. I guess maybe if I ever get a blackberry that might be an option, but at this point that isn't even a consideration. Hell, I have not had the time to set up the palm that Peter lent me yet. :-(

On a different note, in my family it is sort of a tradition to figure out a funny name to name any new babies on the way. It helps to be able to refer the baby as a name, it's easier in the long run. I have not come up with any names in the past. This time Laura and I have (with a suggestion from my mom) have come up with a name: Engelbert Ebenezer Ethelred. Past names include Cletus Melvin and Bubba Ishmael Schmengei. Yes, this is for our amusement. ;-)

  1. Apollonia is always a crowd favourite. And you get the Godfather coolness factor. :D
On the topic of not having time for tech outside of work: I can sympathize but try not to go for too long. If all you do is the stuff you're doing at work, you may not like technology much after a while. Doing stuff YOU like will keep you into tech. If there's anything I realised with all of this time on my hands, it's that. :) I'm doing exactly what I want to do ... too bad I can't get paid for it. lol
My boss at Rational told me to always invest time in yourself, even at work. You'll make yourself more valuable to the company in the present, not only just if you want to look for another job. He was laid off from Nortel, and knew that the other side of that was all about.

  3. We all know my opinion is about BlackBerry.
I tried to view your blog with the BlackBerry browser and it renders in a nice reduced are readable form (looks great on our colour devices). However the browser has issues with the form to submit comments. :(
    Cheers!

  4. Ryan: Ya, my last boss sat me down and more or less gave me the same talk too. He was ex-Nortel too. And I agree with that. But right now work isn't "work", it's fun. Just don't tell my boss. I really enjoy the people that I work with and the challenges that I have. It's so rare to work on a project from scratch and have so much control over it. It's wonderful. It's like 4th year project, but less artifacts that no one will ever read. ;-)
JP: If you can figure out what exactly is wrong with it, I am sure the MovableType people would like to hear anything that they would do to make their blogging sw better. ;-)
